I am sure this has been asked and answered a hundred times or more. And I did do a search......

When people refer to their intensities, are they referring to the percent number when they hover their mouse over the time point dot (where it says "intensity") or to the slider on the left where there is a percentage?

I see "my intensity is around 70%". There's a huge difference between brightness overall slider and overall intensity.

I am running the SPS coral labs program at 70% which gives me 45% intensity at peak with my 2 G3 XR30 pro's. What would people say my "intensity" is?

BRS did a video in the 160g tank and said they ran 45-80% intensities depending on the tank.
World Wide Corals did an article saying they run 100%. I cannot imagine anyone running all channels on 100% at 100% unless their lights were just too high off the tank.

Thanks!

Sanjay Joshi runs his Radions at 100%. It not that abnormal.

Following along as I have been wondering about this. Is it 100% overall intensity with then a 60% brightness or 100% overall intensities and 100% brightness

So, I am new to the Radion world, but to me, the Intensity would be the overall intensity (main slider). then you have individual colors and their intensity to create the color spectrum. then you have the Duration at X intensity. I am using the LPS coral lab program currently. I have my intensity set to 75% (still in acclimation mode so its at 55%). I have that duration for 10 hours with a 1 hour up and a 1 hour down.

This literally made me laugh. Not angry, just really funny. The whole point of the question was this right here. And when I ask, I get this kind of answer. I must be missing something.

100% of what?? As in all channels at 100% with brightness at 100%?

So the slider at the left of the graph? If that's true and you have that set to say 60, but each color set to 50% the intensity would be very different than if you set the bar to 60 and the colors to 100% each. Yet when I ask what intensity it's set at, your answer would be "60%". Hence my confusion. I understand that the right answer is to respond with which program you use at what slider percentage. But that's not what I see when people are asking for help with their lights. It's a flat "XX%" and I'm wondering what that means to them. They obviously know for themselves. I want in the secret club!

The more I search for this, the more I believe the answer is hovering over the set point is "intensity". I believe the slider is what they call "brightness".

Maybe?

Yes, Sanjay runs all channels at 100% and intensity at 100%. Most all the reefers I have know that were widely successful SPS guys were running the LEDs (all colors) at 100%

I see what you mean. I would say intensity is the hover. It will carry by adjusting the overall brightness and slider for each color. For instance, I'm at 75% brightness with a 15.5k color mix. This gives me a max of 53% for 10 hours. Since I am day 2 of acclimation they are at 56% of their overall intensity.

I view intensity as the overall slider (to the left of the graph) and the others set spectrum.

Hi,
Please have a look at the attached picture that I have set my tank up with. The light is the Radion xr15wPro
I'm unsure of how the intensity and brightness work. i.e. is the intensity the % when you hover over the position (as it says) set with a time period or the main slider / scale on the left of the graph
If I move the scale on the left of the graph with the positioning points set with the chosen colour and times etc, the graph changes the setting completely and you cant get the settings back even if you have saved those setting
The tank light setting don't look good, fairly blue not very bright but as I have bleached a monti and a few other that seem to have lost colour I have these setting for now.
So which control setting give you the best setting for a mixed reef tank and how do they really work?
