Hello to all to all you reefers out there.

I am new to this forum and just looking for some advice on a 24*24*18 rimless cube.

I am running a Radion Gen2 XR30W Pro Led fixture and am thinking of changing the lens from the standard to the Wide Angle TIR Lens, can anyone please give me some advise on this, as I am a bit confused about the depth issue etc. I am running my tank BB if that helps with anything.

Interested in hearing some feedback

Per specs from Ecotech on the pro that should be sufficient.
By putting the wide angle you will lose some par.
How high off the water are the lights hanging?

I'd stick with the standard lenses on that tank and focus on getting height above water line and light intensity right.

I am running them about 8" above the water, at around 60% peaking at 65%

Any other ideas.

Hey Carlos

I am not having any issues per say, however the colours of the SPS are just not where i want them, I seem to be battling with that vivid popping colour. My parameters are all in shape.

Cal 480
DKH 9
SG 1026
Phos 0 Hannah Meter
Nitrate 0 Hanna Meter.

Runnig a BB system if that helps

I won't go into BB vs DSB because that is all in personal opinion. Don't think that would be an issue either as long as your Phosphate and nitrate readings are low.
Personally, when it was running sps, will be soon again, I generally kept my calcium around 420 and DkH around 11-12.
Hopefully some others chime in and give their thoughts.
You could always raise them a bit mor to spread the light more, but intensity may also be with the balance of light you are running from the radions.
I'm waiting to scrape some cash together to buy a couple xr30 pros, so not positive what would be a better spectrum at this point.

What do you mean about intensity, are you saying i should gently increase the intensity?
I have the XR30 Pro.

I will have to say. I had a Radion Gen3 and was never impressed by it. I was running a 4bulb t5 before and all my sps had good color and ones that didnt were on their way coloring up nicely. I switched to the radion and they all kinda just lost color. not bleaching just kinda didnt look very good and more brown. I got rid of it for 2 Kessil A350w and after a week they are all already showing signs of getting coloring back. So I will say I am not a fan of radions.

I have a gen2 pro over my 20 long sps only tank. My colors are vivid and popping. They do take tweaking, I was not able to get optimum color by following one of their preset templates. Now, tweaking is done, I'm six months in, and I love this fixture. PM me and I will be more then happy to share my settings.

My apologies, just meant the color spectrum choices, some corals like certain spectrums more than others.
So keep in mind when buying from stores and frag swaps they will generally have more blue in their lighting to accent the colors but are not what we would normally run in our everyday aquariums.
