Looking for suggestions for light period, currently I have it ramp up ans down from 9:30am-9:30pm with max 60% for 8 hrs. Can I reduce this to 10 hrs and 6 hrs max period. I have mostly LPS.

Secondly, for summer time, can I change the light period to 8pm to 4am to avoid heat generated by the lights.

I am using Radion Gen 3.

Lastly, I have 2 radion XR30 gen 3 (1 pro and the other is not). thank size is 4' long with 2' deep and 2' width. Can I get away just with 1 Radion XR 30 pro (trying to save electricity cost)

Thanks all

One Radion won't cover a 4' long tank. For LPS you can probably get by at 50 to 60% for 6 hours.

Yes you can run the night schedule in the summer time.

If temp is an issue, you should at least get a fan on a controller, if not a chiller to keep things in check.

The max coverage one XR30 can do with the TIR Lens is 36 inches.

A 10 hr light schedule will work just fine.
I wouldn't do a shortened light schedule during the summer because of heat from leds. They don't produce heat like other lights do.

how about reverse time during summer time (light on at night), will this make the fish sick with no dark period? My tank is in hallway without direct sun, but there is still some natural indirect light during daytime, which means the fish will never sleep?
