im picking up an xr15 G3 pro for a 30 gallon nano. It will be a bare bottom SPS tank and I have a few questions.....

Is it worth it to get the defuser ??

Are most of you running the reef link??

If you’re not using the reef link what factory setting are working best for you?

I use the defuser one my lights. It give better coverage. And reef link makes it easier to program from your devices.

you can use the ab plus on the radion settings its pre programed. you will need the reef link

I have the diffusers on two xr30 4Gs. I think they are a bit overpriced for what they are and they do reduce some par. However I do like that they blend the light well, reduce or eliminates the disco ball effect and they eliminated the glare from the lights when I’m sitting on the couch. I’m running mine at 70% AB+ schedule and I’m still getting 265-285 par at the top of my rocks. Overall I like the defusers

So I recently got back into the hobby and duck my old radion gen ones out of storage obviously technologies come very far since I last had a reef. I see that they now have TIR lenses as well as diffusers question I have is do I need both should I get one first and then the other and if so what order should that be?
