I have a gen 2 pro upgraded to a gen 3 pro plus a gen 3 pro over a 60 gallon cube (I don't notice any difference between the two). I have the diffusers on both lights. They work great. I'm a big believer in doing what you can to even out the light from puck style LEDs (raise them up, add, the diffusers, run more fixtures at lower settings, etc.).
