I recently purchased a radion gen3 pro for my 24" cube, and was wondering what you would recommend for maximum intensity? I plan to run a mix reef with sps at the top of the tank and lps and Zoas towards the middle and bottom.

Ok, as promised... Here is my schedule over my SPS Frag Tank. [emoji6]

I run two Radion Gen3(s) mounted on the Multiple RMS kit. This is a modified "Radiant" schedule. I've changed to top three points to experiment with changes/enhancements in coral color.

Enjoy!

I like that! Never thought about going from 18 to 20k and increasing the intensity at the same time. Might have to try it out.

So I just got two radions that I am going to mount over my 120 tall (48" 18" 30") what would be a good schedule? (I want to do a mixed reef with a clam on the bottom)

Looks like a good schedule! Any pictures of your tank you can post?

I simply let ecotech live set the details, I simply pick a preprogramed setting... Is that bad?

anyone have tips or tricks to calibrate multiple Xr30 pro gen 3's I can't seem to get them to be identical. typically during moon one light is brighter than the other.

I'm pretty sure the difference in moonlight intensities, from fixture to fixture, is predetermined by the mimicry of the waxing/waning moon schedule.

If you have the "Lunar Phases" function enabled on your schedule, this is normal behavior. To fully utilize this feature, be sure to organize your Radions on the "Layout" tab within EcoSmartLive. There you will be able to manipulate the Radions assigned to your tank in relation to how they are physically mounted above your system.

Therefore, giving you the left-to-right or right-to-left difference in moonlight intensities based on the current phases of the lunar cycle.

Here is a par chart from mine. Its XR15 over 28 gal Nano approx 9 inches above the water. The tank shot is months old, I don't feel like re-making it.

Also, here are a few programs to check out...

Here is the one I am running now. SPS dominant with TERRIFIC growth and color.

Mine was tweaked from this one, the owner of an LFS who installs tons of Radions uses this..

Lastly, a lot of people look for "Jon's"... here it is...

If those don't do it for you here is a site with a TON of them. It has photos and tank specs for each tank.

Does anyone have a successful mixed reef tank that runs a blue natural looking schedule??? I've tried radiant schedule but the whites and reds are still way too high.....I would love to run just a 18k or 20k look all day for the most part but I just didn't know if that would effect my acros in a negative way.....

I am still playing with the setting on my 2 Radions. Having used Metal halides for long I feel the biggest drawback to these (besides heat) is they are not programmable like LEDs. In the ocean the Par intensity is constantly changing throughout the day. Running metal halides for 8 hours straight runs the risk of bleaching corals or a lengthy acclimation period. Why would I run the same exact schedule as typical light schedule? I rather just ramp up and ramp down to give corals some rest periods through out the day.

This is my current light schedule. I have it ramping up to 65% (full spectrum), The dropping to 40% (full spectrum) every hour for 6 hours then ramping down for 3 hours (more blue).
