Just curious about what everyone has their Radions set as. I just ordered a set for my 40b. I know these lights are seriously customizable, so I want to know other peoples lighting cycle and spectrums. I plan to keep mostly SPS and zoanthids, maybe a few LPS like chalices and/or acans.

I have a single Radion over my 50 gallon lps/sps tank on the radiant color template at 65% which starts out a actinic look, going to 20k for a couple hours, then for about 4 hours, a 14k, then back down to a actinic look before turning off.
I have 3 Radions over my 240 gallon tank that are using a 4 week acclimation program with the radiant color template.

Do you get good growth from that setting?

I guess i should be more specific when I say what you have customized it to. I want to know what time lights come on, then what time they start ramping up through the day intil they finally hit peak and at what percentage the peak is set to and for how long. and what spectrum, and finally when the 'sun' starts to set, aka ramping down.

That sounds confusing as all get our, but hopefully you know what I mean.

I see the question all the time, "do you get good growth?" It's impossible to compare. It's not like you wake up one morning and notice a 1" of growth that wasn't there yesterday.
Are the corals growing? Yes they are, but they were growing when I had T5's on the tank.
If you are looking for sudden growth spurts, IMO nothing is going to do that, unless you start with real crappy lights and acclimate them right.
You could set the lights to a 7k and get more growth than my color.
There are other templates that are listed as growth templates, but I would amagine that the color would not be to my liking.
I like my tanks to look a 14k to 20k, which is pleasing to my tastes.
Besides, I've only had the Radion over my 50 for a couple months and the 3 over my 240 only a few weeks. lol

As far as my times, I have the lights ( both sets) start to come on at 9am. They start very slowly, then ramp up to the maximum around 11 to 12 and stay in that range until 2-3 and then start ramping down and go off at around 8:30.

There are 5-6 preset templates that you can use. You have to get ESL up and running to see what I mean. You will see how they ramp up and for how long, etc. Once you do you will see them and be able to make a choice.
You can make your own program or modify one of the existing programs.
I would strongly suggest you use the acclimation program. IMO no matter what other lights you have used, leds will burn your corals if you don't acclimate them some how.

I took a picture of the radiant color template so you can see how the lights ramp up and down.

This just one of 6 different pre-designed templates.

What are you dimensions for your 240? I was hoping to only have to run 3 set and not 5 on my lights. Going to go with the pros though. I wanting to have the brightest in the middled where the coral reef will be then fade out to the darker colors like going deeper into the ocean. Ill have 2 blue spotted rays and want to make them feel like they are in deeper waters. Is this possible with these lights?

The 240 is 72"long x 30" front to back x 25" tall.

You really should call their customer support for technical questions.
I see people posting questions on RC in their sponsors forum and their own community forum not get answered for days.

Ok I see where we're different mine is 96x24x24. So I might need 4 or 5 lights.

Each light is advertised to cover a 24" x 24".
But I'm getting good coverage on my 30" front to back tank and I have a single Radion on my lps/sps tank that is 30" long x 20" front to back.
So I would say you would need 4 for a 8' tank.

I have 2 pros over 48x24x18 mixed reef on the radiant template 85% intensity ramping up from 65 for 3 weeks . I just upgraded from the G1 and that is why I am acclimating the tank to the pros now.

I have (4) on my 180 gallon tank. It comes on around 6am and is at 100% intensity from 11-3. At five, usually when I get home from work, it is at 20K and goes to deep blue for approx 40 mins with it turning completely off at 11pm. It slowly dims down until it finally shuts off.
