I have 2 Radion Xr30 Pros G3 over a 49 gallon tank, 36x17x17, and I am trying to figure out the par for this unit, hanging 8" above the water line.

Tank is mainly SPS, and I was wondering if 50% intensity was enough, or if I should crank it higher to 60-65.

Thoughts?

I am running a gen 2 with wide angle lenses 10" above water line in a 29 tall tank. Running 60% intensity. It's a mixed reef with quite a few sps.

I have four G3pro's about 7 inches from water line on a 96x30x30 peaking at 65% and par at the top of aquascape which is probably about 22" from the lights is around 320, in the sand bed is 80 to 120. Is an SPS tank and everything is happy. I would be careful turning those things up, you could easily fry your corals

I run 2 Gen 3 pro's on a standard 75g Sps dominant tank. My lights are set to 75% max at about 7" off the water.
Starting at 40-50% won't hurt anything and then you can gradually raise it up if need be.
Where you have a bit smaller of a tank then I do, not very deep either. I'd be concerned weather or not you'd have any moderate to low light for other corals that don't like extremely high light. Plus I'm sure you have at least some Lps and Zoas?

Those are two extremely powerful lights over a 49 gallon tank.....I am running the same two lights on my 105 gallon mixed reef with them maxing out at 65%. I would be careful how high you run the UV and the whites, greens, and reds.

Start around 45% and slowly increase over several weeks. ESL also has an acclimation mode. Careful not to burn/bleach your corals.
