Need some information/advice. I'm in the process of setting up a new 120 gallon tank. It's a four foot tank. I can not decide whether to purchase two Radion pros or one orphek atlantik. Also not sure one orphek will cover the entire tank as stated on their website. I have read about 100 reviews of both and feel very confident I would be happy with either. But need more information before I make up my mind as both of these lights have a large dollar amount attached to them (for me that is). So what do you guys think?

I'm doing the exact same thing. I started a similar thread last week. I actually ended up talking to Scott the US rep for Orphek. Depending on your rock work you may want to go with 2 Atlantik Compact units. That's what I'm going to do when I'm ready to buy. I too deliberated between The two companies. The big selling point for me is that Orphek's main target consumer are large private and public aquariums. They have spent a lot of $$ and time in R&D. The new models which are supposed to be released soon will be iOS compatible. Scott is away for a while but maybe another rep from @Orphek will respond and give you some more info. Again I was gonna go with Radions but the possibility of needing 3 fixture vs 2 compact Atlantik really for me is a big difference.

My vote would be for Radion.
I've using them for almost 4 years and I am very happy with them.
For a 4' tank only 2 fixtures are needed.

I used to run 3 GHL Mitras on my 60x30x24 tank for 2+ years.
1/3 LPS and 2/3 SPS and anemones. I wasn't thrilled with growth and color with Mitras, so I made the switch 2 months ago with Orphek Atlantik V3 iOS compatible plus more wattage 240 than the earlier V3. Also got the Gateway to control the Atalantik remotely via iPhone App.

Difference is night and day. All my SPS reacted positively to the Orphek light. Growth and color was noticeable right away.

You could run 1 Atalantik over 48", but have to be creative on your aquascaping. You will get much weaker par on both sides. Maybe grow LPS?

Here's a picture of my tank. I'm still running 1 Mitras for my LPS section and Atlantik is covering 2/3 SPS side. Btw Anemones are 12" magnifica and 4 flame bubble tips.

Good luck with your new setup.
