Hello All!

I have 2 Radion XR 30 G3 Pro over my 57 gallon. While this might be overkill for my tank, the intensity is set very low at 32% max for the entire lighting scale. I have a mixed reef, mostly SPS, few LPS and a lot of Zoas on the bottom. I attempted to increase my lights to 35% intensity but noticed some adverse side effects in some coral.

I'm primarily increasing as most of my SPS are only at about 150-200ish Par. I would like to bump this up to increase coloration/growth.

Is 1% intensity increase per week okay?

Use a reef link or a laptop to download the programs from ecotech......you can chose different mode/programs and adjust the intensity.

Hey there! I am indeed using reeflink and I have a custom program from Top Shelf Aquatics that I've been using. Again I would like to increase par so my question is how slowly should I raise intensity?

There is a setting in reeflink that does it for you over a 4 week period. Select starting % and ending % and it will take care of it

Actually I think you only select the end % and it takes care of starting point.

I haven't heard you mention a light meter of any kind.

How do you know you want to raise intensity without knowing what your intensity is?

When you change the settings, how will you know how much you've raised it without a meter?

Get a light meter now! :)

If a PAR meter is out of the budget, don't even hesitate to get a cheap lux meter to start with. It may be all you ever need and they cost $10-$15 usually.

I run my Radions....at 33% with the ecotech...programs and all my corals do very well...

Cuz at 6 to 8 inches off the water....they are pretty intense..
