Hello, I am struggling to find the right schedule and intensity setting / schedule intensity for a shallow frag tank less than a foot deep. This is a zoa only frag tank I have played around with different settings and intensities but zoas look terrible since upgrade. Light is mounted to the RMS arm and 8" off water. Previous light was 24" off water. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated as all info I read is for tanks much deeper.

I'm using a variation on the Radiant template as I find it makes my zoas "pop". Based on the height, I'd probably set the schedule intensity to 10-15% to start. @8" off the water and 65% intensity, my Radions are putting out close to 500 PAR right at the water surface. Depending on what template and default settings you went with, I wouldn't be surprised if you're hitting your zoas with well over 500 PAR.

Here's what I'm currently using for my mixed reef if you want to try it out (just adjust the schedule intensity from 65% to 10-15% to start off). If you have access to a PAR meter that could really help you fine-tune your light settings as well. When I had my Radions over a IM 25-gallon lagoon I had them at about 35%.

How far of the water are your lights mounted and the depth of your tank. I do have a par meter and set them to previous lights par.
