Hello reefkeepers,

I am currently running a XR15WPro G4 Model on my Reefer 170. I use the Radiant Color program at around 45% (the yellowish slider). Now my Question is, I always wanted to skip to the SPS AB+, but I don't know at wich intensity I should start coming form Radiant color. I fear that my corals would bleach if I would over do it.

So can you guys give me a suggestion at which intensity I should start?

Welcome to R2R! I have the same light over my tank. I don't think that's an easy question to answer, but you can probably get a decent idea using a lux meter app on your smart phone. Get a lux reading using the app and then switch to the other color profile. You can try and match the lux rating. It isn't ideal, but it should give you a place to start. You could use the acclimate mode to slowly ramp up on the AB+ program.

Just a general thought, I would check the percentages that the radiant program has on each color channel. Compare that to the % on each color channel on the SPS AB+ program (which I believe runs at 100% for all the blues and UV, with white, green, and red at 24%). If there's not a huge % difference in any of the channels, you might be safe to just stay at your current intensity. If there are bigger jumps, I'd want a par meter. Be aware that changing spectrum alone might make some corals unhappy depending on how long you've had them under a certain setting.

Off subject, but what size tank do you have? I just got the same light. And thought of putting it on a 40breeder. Maybe add 2 t5s.

And 1 other thing. Once you program your light. If you push the buttons on top. Up , down, power
Do the 3 buttons blink like red, blue white?

i have a Red Sea reefer 170 aprox. 60 inches by 60 inches. I think the blinking is not usually I would reset it on ecosmartlive.

There is also a acclimation mode so that you can work your way up to the final intensity over a set period of time.

I know all that. I just wanted to have startline, whether i should start at 50% or 30% ?
