Hi,

I have my XR30 mounted away in the sealing so I can't reach the powerplug.
I want to know how much difference there is in Watt usage at different intensity's.

So:

@ 50% intensity it consumes XXX Watt
@ 100% intensity it consumes XXX Watt

If anybody wants to test this for me I would be grateful.
I would already be happy with your current intensity and it's Watt usage.

I want to know this to figure out what the light costs me and what my price is for raising intensity.

185 watts at full 100% multiply that by your local kwh charge which is normally around 15 cents.. should come out around $12 per month for a single XR 30 ran at 8 hours per day.

At the moment I Pay €0.76 cent for a kwh.. So it starts to get interesting to find out what exactly is used by the lights ;)

An XR30 runs at ~215w at 100%

Probably safe to assume that at 50% intensity it is close to 110w
Yes I am trying to confirm this. I need 2 basepoints tested with a Wattage meter.

Let’s just say full intensity is 200watts or close to it going off thr specs from eco tech.. that means in 8 hours at 100% Intensity it burns 1600 watts which is 1.6 kw. If you’re paying .76 cents a kw it costs $1.21 per day to run for 8 hours.. multiply that by 30 for a average month and you’re paying $36.48 to run it at full blast for 8 hours a day.. or $18.24 a month at 50% intensity

Agreed, that would be 444 euro per year per light. I have 2 of them.

But the point is I need to know actual numbers. I want 2 real world tested numbers from 2 different intensity points.

I would do it in a heartbeat myself, but I connected them to a ceiling light outlet. The bricks are in a box against the ceiling, so I only have a light switch on the wall. I could open that up, connect power cables and test it with a Wattage meter, but... maybe... someone here with better acces to the cable... is willing to test this for me. Please :).

That is the FW version. You can upgrade a G5 to the new G6 cluster because everything else is the same.


205w and 215w depending on version. So different versions even have different wattages. Not too confusing lol
