I just got a radion g5 xr30 pro for my 60 gallon cube. I was wondering what the best light intensity is. I keep my schedule more white in the morning and blue in the afternoon. I watched on YouTube brstv or something that the best setting for a 60 cube is on 75 % but I want more sources just to be sure. I don’t have a par meter so I’m asking.

Not sure what the emergency is, but if they tested it and suggest 75%, and you’re unwilling to rent a par meter, then just go with that. Maybe use acclimation mode for a few weeks to prevent overdoing it with such a powerful light.

Oh oops it’s not an emergency I didn’t know

75% is going to be a ton of light. I would work my way up from 40% using the acclimation mode. I’m currently running the xr15 on a 50gal cube at only 50%

Also, if you’re using the diffuser for the XR15 (which I recommend), I’d bump whatever setting you end up using by 20%.

Right now my settings looks like this.

70 point intensity seems great! It’s been about 3 days and I have acclimation setting at 15 days at 80% some of my corals that lost color/browning is becoming brighter at the tips and coloring up. 70 point intensity only makes the overall brightness at 40-50% so I think it’s fine for now thanks
