Radion xr30 generation 2 and 3

Is there that much difference between the older generation radions and the newer ones that would make it worth buying new ones? I know the 3 can be updated but not the 2.
They both work fine, I’m just curious what the biggest difference is with the newer radions

Are you asking about the difference between the G2 and the G3 - or the difference between the G2/G3 and the G5? I am very happy with the G5 design - with the fan on the top, the light spread, to me you need fewer lights/tank. When I upgraded - I sold my 'old' lights - and used the money to pay for the G5's. Best decision ever

I have a 90 gallon with a g3, and g2 xr30

How long is the tank (assuming 48 inches?). IMHO, yes its worth upgrading, and depending on what you were trying to keep - probably 2.

Honestly - I already mentioned the ones I appreciated. I would suggest that you go to their website - and compare. The color is great - the app is great - I think you get better coverage with less lights.- but I'm not sure you can get away with 1 light on a 4 foot tanki
