Looking to get Radion G6's on their track system over my 72"x24"x14" frag tank. Planning for this to be an SPS grow out system. Would you go with XR30's or XR15's? If so, how many?

Being a shallower tank has me wondering if the XR30's would be overkill. Regardless, I'm still contemplating the Pros vs. Blues.

Thanks for any suggestions?

I would go 30s and here is why.

You can turn them down and hopefully make the units last longer.

Never know when the next "upgrade" is going to fall in your lap and you will need to upgrade the lights as well. 30s and no upgrade should be needed.

Also, I am kinda torn on Pros or Blues. I have Blues on my frag tank and I love them. Great color out of the box. Pros I have on the display and I do like them also but I kinda wish mine were flopped, Blue on the display and pros on the frag tanks..

And lastly, get your lights from the for sale section. Lots of people getting out of the hobby unfortunately and there are some great deals to be had.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the feedback. Was ready to order XR30's with the track system but was told by BRS that my eurobracing is too wide (2 1/4"). Now I need to figure out what I want to do since I will need to hang lights from the ceiling. Ugh!

Odd, from the photos width of the eurobrace shouldn't matter.

The end is "open".
Max bar length 80.5"

So ????.

She told me she was looking at one right in their office and that 1.5” would be max. I’ve never seen them in person, so I just trusted her. Not sure if “trim” is the same thing, but this is what is listed on their website. I would love nothing more than to be able to buy the system and those lights right now.

Are you set on radions? The reefi 2.0 are about half of an xr 30 fwiw.

I second the ReeFi Uno 2.0 Pro. Great light extremely powerful and customizable settings. Was convinced by this fella to get them

My tanks are long and shallow. 150 halides with t5is what I prefer. I have 2 X-ray 30 g 5s that we tried but Tanks looked dead. They look alive with halides, 150s have nice par and punch in shallow tanks

I'm still not getting what holds those brackets in place. However, I'm now tempted to give them a try. Thanks!

For Radions I would run 6 xr15's right down the middle. I run 4 on my 48x24x16. With a 1.5" rack their is only 12.5" from rack to surface.
I get 220 par at the rack so plenty running ab+ at 100/100.
I do run a quanta meso blue and get close to 100 more par when its on.

Its hard to hang lights from my vaulted ceiling. You could mount the tslot on the back of the stand like I did for my 20g.

You could use tslot to mount your lights. I did it on my 120 to mount halides.
My 48x24x16 growout for reference.
Tslot for reference.
Anyway some options.

Except for pinching together ..nothing.
Not an uncommon way.

The arms can't clamp to the ends of the tank because of the eurobrace, but you can get them tight enough to hold everything securely

On a diy basis and since you apparently have a thread hole a clamp attachment is probably a fairly easy.
