Radium 150w DE's... what do you think?

I'm thinking about trying the Radium 150 DEs. I have two IceCap electronic ballasts and two Reef Optix III reflectors. Right now I am running Phoenix bulbs.

Any thoughts on how good these bulbs are? I know the SE 400s are popular. Thanks

I used the 20k Radiums on my 28g JBJ... I liked them... you really can't go wrong with both the 20k Radium and 14k Pheonix... both are really bulbs...

I am using a 20k radium SE on my frag tank and I love the colors!

I'm using a DE 150w 20k Radium in my 24g Aquapod with a 24" current HQI ballast... I Absolutely Love It! Awesome color

great bulb. BUT they are not the same at the SE bulbs everyone raves about. the color is quite a bit different. i use all radium bulbs and have been for years.

in my 150 however i use a pheonix.

Radium is the best SE bulb you can buy IMO but i dont find that to be true with the DE

+1 I am going to need some bulbs for my current fixture and they would be my first choice. I am going to look into getting reeflux or megachromes I think.

Thanks for the input everyone! I know the SE are very popular.. but I have HQI so that is not an option for me. I have ordered them to give them a try. They should be here beginning of next week!
