I just purchased my Radium bulbs and I just love the look. Does any one know how often they need to be replaced I would like to make note of it. Thanks

you will not get a year otu of a radium no matter what ballast you have them on. they shift color and number rather early compared to many bulbs. i replace about every 7 months and thats long compared to some radium users. the color they give is well worth it IMO

Depends on the wattage Radium you are using. You could probably get 14-18 months out of a 250 on a hqi ballast. Mine are 8 months old and I have lost less than 10% of the output compared to when new. I'm getting 1200 on the surface and 5-800 par in the top half of my 90. Just get some decent Lumenxxx reflectors and you'll be good for quite awhile....

7 months is a good rule of thumb for these bulbs. ;)

Which reminds me I need to get some! LOL! Mine are at 7 months now.

They are 150W DE current light system, water depth water depth 13". Does any one out there use a live sand bed with out any other type of filter.

I have never pushed a Radium over 9 months. Those are some pretty interesting numbers u got there. Can you post some new numbers @ ur 9 month to year interval ? I am wondering if there would be any significant changes in bulb degradation .
