Happy Father’s Day to dads and all those who guide, listen too, and lead by example kids in their life.
The wife bought herself something for Father’s Day a Duncan it’s been in little less than 24 hours and starting to extend cpl other pics close by as well spammed

Holy rotten eggs! Started the aquaripure nitrate filter yesterday. The smell was Horrific! I mix specialty medical gels and have smelled “rotten eggs” on an industrial level this beat that down.......
I went thru 10 gallons yesterday still not happy with the flush so made some rodi and salt to continue the flush today before hooking it to tank.
Everyone in the family has left me Father’s Day or not the smell drive em out lol. Heck if a way to get some quiet.
I think another 10 to 15 gallons will gave the reactor flushed enough to get rolling. The sulphuric smell is normal but should only be when within a couple feet of outflow so that’s my gage of when it’s ready to rock

No worries thanks. Not really trouble just normal restart The smell is gone now that it’s pumping into sump and flow rate is set. I had to take the flow control off and clean the valve after that it was all sunshine and @Paul C. thanks again my friend I’m thinking this gets my over the hump around the corner on nitrates good sir. Very awesome to let me try it out #reef2reef4life

She disappeared for a few hours doing her crafting so all is good. Once I finished the flush and hooked it to the tank smell is gone unless I put my nose a foot away from outflow

Well it shows to go ya! Just bought a ton of clean up crew members and now snails are spawning like crazy. About a dozen new guys crawling around ;Facepalm

Quick note tonight pics tomorrow
Dkh of 9.1 yesterday down today to 7.6. 1.5 drop in a day seems high double tested both days with a brand new kit. I have seen some purplish coloration starting on rocks in a few place so possible ?
All corals looking good Duncan at full extension dendro was the same till i feed it dome reef roids.
It seems some of my snails are trying to escape finding some crawling out of water one was on top of my center brace...SMH
Nitrates are slightly lower should see them drop in a week or two once reactor is seasoned.
Nervous a bit with DKH want to keep at 9 will be testing daily tracking and coming up with a dosing regimen.
Must say im pleased with progress and looking forward to truely stable tank to start more additions.
On an upgrade note checking into kit bashing my corallife Halide lights/atinctic with my Leds. Need to get some measurements on depth and see if I can get it done. I like the idea of led with the bulbs. I will do my best to channel my inner diy @RichtheReefer21
Stay salty any thoughts on DKH use appreciated

I wish I would see a drastic drop in Ca and dkh... now that I've got some LPS back in and the dendro is going nuts I expect to see some usage soon. But I've been hard on the 12% weekly water changes. I'm almost out of a 200g box that I bought on black Friday at SoF. I have enough left to make 8gallons maybe.
