Hey fellow saltaholics. Been busy busy so no great pics to share but been a testing fool on DKH. Trying to get a daily dose filled in for stability getting closer. 8 am today at 9.1 830pm at 8.7 going to dose for .4 drop @5am before work then check 12 hours later see what it needs. to maintain 9.0
All corals looking putty good except @RichtheReefer21 dendro. I placed him in solace Rich recommended but it remained closed and ticked for a week in that cove. Back in frag rack and full extension and happy so looking for a better home on rocks. Only concern is gorgs. Getting polyp ext every other day not daily as before. May just be fat and happy from the food in water column... will keep, eye on the three of em. Now gotta figure how to download the graph instead of parameters lust doh

Looking really good, Ray.
Thanks Brian :) 13 months and it’s right we’re it should be for what makes it up and what I’ve done wrong and right.
So much learned of what I could have should have would do now. Feeling like I’m finally applying what I’ve learned more consistently.

#honestyinreefing My tanks a mess.... keeping hands out just dialing in DKH and letting nitrate reactor break in. Also not going nuts on the film algae want to see what my beefed up cuc crew is doing.
I can see the cuc is getting about 50% of glass film and ignoring GHA
Not worried may give er a good scrub this weekend but corals looking happy and fish are fat and happy so not gonna mess around to much.
Here’s cpl coral pics don’t mind the glass see above excuse lol. Dendro from rich was opened wider but fed it and it wasn’t quite full up when I snapped the shots. Happy with the Duncan really need to find em homes on my scape.

The only snails Ive ever seen really do damage to established GHA is Mexican Turbo’s. They generally don’t live as long as others but Ive actually watched them clear rocks of GHA like you see others clear glass. If we’re talking loads of long tuffs of it then helping them out by pulling as much of the long stuff as possible with your fingers is a good idea too.

I’ve scrubbed it to rock for the little lazy sonsoguns! I’m thinking their getting enough detritus leftovers and just ignore it :( Its on me but slowly changing it up. Once I kick the nitrate problem life will be SWEET

Nice, Ray! Dendrophyllia is looking seeet!
Thanks :) Now to get it off the frag rack and still look good. One spot I tried in lower light lower flow it hated. Go figure supposed to like lower light flow but mines special lol Like my clown who thinks it’s a goby ;Facepalm

Glad u nailed the alk consumption. It's all good news. Growth looks great and I'm really happy to see the zoas all happy. That frag rack is built solid ;)

Tank looks crisp and clean ray. Nicely done. Strange that the dendro is happier on the rack. :: shrugs :: whatever works.
