Mel eats everything snails pods seaweed frozen pellet flake you name it and he’s down for a meal. he Has been ticking of the Kenya picking at it probably for pods now. Still love the fat colorful sucker tho.

Hey hey hey salt friends, Still no basement sump looks like major stuffs gonna be on hold for longer than anticipated or hoped for. Back slow slog to get fixed when ya need court orders for everything…grrrr system sucks!

Still getting some things done. 1st wc in over year and scrubbing. PO4 post scrub still 0.04 but nitrates jumped 58 new socks stat and started skimming again .
Got rid of the 6 foot tall cabinet left side and got new apex gear installed looks much cleaner. Tomorrow pumps get scrubbed and trident goes online.

@najer Dear Uncle Simon I’m having trouble packing on the pounds and getting past 3/4 inch wide eating only three types of algae and on 2 feedings a day. Can you speak with my dad and straighten him out?

Got off the old duff and finished install of trident. Only thing left is to connect dos to work with it but got some time to build up data on consumption.
mixed up 55 gal salt for @ change but going to let trident run bit more in hindsight shoulda done WC first goes so easy with the Sicce utility pump no excuses not to get on schedule,

Tank sump leak Turkey eve….. found a garden knee pad cut to thickness to use as compression bandaid between stand and sump wall.
not looking forward to pulling sump for repair but guess it will be the cleaning of its life on brighter side.

well pulled er guts out. Minor surface abrasion left fingernail catching crack mid chamber seam clean smooth elsewhere but no leaks visual from sump. Sumps sitting on some newspaper overnight to confirm it’s leak free as leak was a slow one. Following further back have some wetness at quick disconnect that could be the issue. Going to replace plumbing and connections. Wiped down bulkhead have some tissue in case the overflow pipe isnt sitting water tight anymore.
Hoping some new hose and hose clamps will be all I need but have plenty of epoxy and acrylic if paper is wet in cpl hours.
Tomorrow it’s sump patch if needed then super scrub the last of it.

Well she be done. Just ensuring parameters are in check between tank and sump.
Took opportunity to segregate my gsp mountain and blast clean about half my rocks with a spare high pressure pump. Will see how it all reacts. I tell ya have one zona that has been loving tank life with sump down hope it continues

The new view from couch. Finally got the GSP mountain segregated leaves a nice valley right side to see gsp spreading on back wall. I of course didn’t clean glass after dripping water and junk……before pics

Clowns and melanurus are filling water column stirrin* up sand. 50 gl saltvwater going in shortly
