Rainbow Acan question

So I have had this Rainbow Acan for some time now. When I got it it was rainbow hence why I picked it up. It stayed rainbow for a while than slowly changed to just a red acan. It grows and has great PE. I was just wondering what I can do to help get those awesome colors back as well as improve colors in all my acans? Thanks

Less white light if possible, less total light(furthest from light), and feed it meaty food frequently.

I’ve heard some say switching back to t5 lighting did the trick as well but I don’t have any first hand experience with that.

it is basically on the sand bed.

I have a rainbow one and keep it low in my system. It's kept it's colors since I got it.

It is on the lowest rock possible about 2 inches off the sandbed.

calcium 4:20 and alk 8.0

Nitrates at 5 phsophastes .3 and the rest is 0 and I dose red sea color program

Okay. Any idea of par on location of the acan?

I can check this weekend but I have my blues all the way up and whites about 50% when both channels were at 100% i think it was about 300par so Im guessing 200-250. using a seneye. They are sbreeflights.

Try putting it under an over hang. They don't need direct light. They have been known to change color depending on light type.
