About a week ago my rbta was doing fine, super colorful. Recently noticed it’s a dull grayish purple color. What could be happening? Everything else in my tank is super happy

Here’s before and after pics

Do you by chance have pics with white light for before and now? Also, basic tank parameter and what kind of lighting it is under is very helpful. At least a pic now of the nem with white lighting. That would be very helpful.

On a side note, I have nems that looked one way when introduced and are now slightly different, color wise, then when I got them.

The pics I posted was a month after I got the nem and it today. Lights are 2 radion 30 gen 2. I just got called into work. Gonna see if my wife will test my water for me.

Did the two original photos work?

Also, no photos of when I got it under whites. But it’s a dull grayish purple. Doesn’t look good at all

It could be expelling is zoo, and that is not good. If you can snag us some test results and get a good pic under whites, it would help a ton.

Trying to get my wife to get a pic under whites. This is no filter photo

Yes, we'd need to see it under white lights. The photos don't look bad in terms of the health of the nem. It could be the zooxanthellae population adjusting to the lights. I'm guessing the Radions are putting out more light than what it was under previously. They adjust like our skin tans under the sun. How long have you had the nem, and/or did you add the Radions recently?

I’ve had the nem under radions for about 2-3 months. The only change that I can think of is I’m using phytoplankton.

Tank is 6-7 months old. Just phytoplankton, and uv sterilizer

Mine has done that. When it goes grey, its starving in my experience. I always thought it got enough food from the clowns but after targeting it with mysis it slowly got its color back.

lll try that! Thank you!

Just wanted to update on my nem. It’s been about 2 months and check it out! The nem moved around for a couple weeks and ultimately settled in its original location. But take a look at it now! Even more colorful now
