Just received a rainbow chalice via the for sale forum on here. Looked fine after shipping, i dipped it in bayer and then rinsed and put it in low light and flow in my tank. It looks to have lost some of its puffiness and i can see some of the white skeleton showing in some areas as well as some flesh withering away in a small spot. All of my other chalices looks great and healthy. Is there any way to help this or is it just a sign of stress from the shipping? Thanks

Probably stress related. I'd suggest letting it be and hope for the best. You could try fragging if it continues to recede but that usually just causes more stress, IMO.

Chalices don't like to be dipped very long. The dipping probably did more damage than good. I usually do about a minute max on chalice. Then in a saltwater bath for a few min followed by another saltwater bath to make sure all dip gets off.

Yea i think ur right, im just paranoid because my tank is mainly SPS and id hate to get something hanging off a frag plug so dipping is a must but it may have been too much.

I would leave it alone for now. I also think the recession might be shipping related.
