So recently I purchased a couple of rainbow eclipse zoa polyps.after getting them acclimated and ready to go into the tank I popped them into my frag rack and they soon started to open up. Later I popped them into the sand closer to where I was thinking about placing them. The next day I found them completely shut up.they’ve been closed up for a while now and today I moved them back up onto my frag rack to prevent them from getting buried by my new blue diamond goby. Now I’m seeing one of the polyps peaking open again. I’m not sure if it’s just coincidence or if this particular zoa likes higher lighting. Anyone else have experience with this particular variety of zoa? I’d rather not lose them as thes zoas we’re not cheap.

Zoas don't really like being placed directly in the sand. I'd clip the plugs flat and glue them to a small flat rock if you want to have them along the bottom of the tank.
I don’t really put them in the sand like that. I have an island rock for them. It was always a temporary thing, while I decided on placement. It just lasted longer than I meant it to because of how they closed up.
