This is something that kinda made me wonder... Why are the newer polyps of the rainbow a different color than the older ones. Like what purpose does that serve? Most corals new growth grow in a uniform manner where they are just a lighter and whiter in color but are all the same. Does anyone know why sone corals have a completely different color in the new growth versus the older established polyps?
