Rainbow skirt lunar zoanthid?

Lineage goes to the ocean. If 2 vendors get rainbow Rastas in and one calls them rainbow rastas before the other, does that mean the other vendor can't call them rainbow Rastas because they aren't lineaged to that vendor

How do you know they have the same polyp's from the same colony though? Without lineage to the colony there is no way to prove they are from the same colony.

names used to be there to identify the coral.
in the past 5 years it has changed to naming to sell so vendors turn into a queen-b when you have an identical coral with the name they "made up"

literally a joke!! names mean nothing anymore

Agreed. The best way to identify your own paly is to buy from the originator and then compare his to yours lol.

Yes and as someone who dives for them, collects, treats, registers with coralpedia what i find, I can concur, it's become hilarous.

Looks exactly like a "rainbow rasta" to me. The last blue spectrum shot sealed the deal. Nice find.
Personally never connected with the hype of RR's, and I have no qualms about expensive and/ or named polyps. The centers are pretty bland IMO, and there's other more unique rainbow skirted varieties out there. Still though, if you just stumbled upon these, it's a worthy find.
