I am shutting down my nano tank and want to add my rainford's goby to my 65 gallon, but I'm not sure if his size will be an issue... I have 2 occelaris clowns, a royal gramma, a midas blenny, and a tomini tang. All around 3". They are super peaceful with eachother, but at ~1", the rainford will be much smaller.

Anybody have any experience adding rainfords to tanks with bigger tankmates?

I plan to use an acclimation box.

I have mine in a 75g with 2 Clowns, CBB, Firefish, Falco Hawkfish, Melanurus and Flasher wrasse. All was well for a long time but the Falco started to chase the Rainford a few months ago. Nothing too aggressive just a short chase, no nipping or frayed fins. I thought about removing the Falco but since it's not causing any damage and the Rainford is still able to eat and go about his business with only the occasional chase I'll leave them be for now.

I don't see any issues with those tank mates. The goby may experience some territorial aggression from the clowns and maybe the gramma, but I don't suspect any of it will be serious enough to cause issues.

The Tang might bully a small late addition to the tank, and not sure if the blenny will have issue (probably not) but I think it would probably work well.

Definitely use the acclimation box, keep an eye out on the Midas & the gramma, more so the Midas blenny
