Raise pH - how to ?

Okay i recalibrated the probe, when i putted it in the pH fluid 7.0, it said pH 7.0.. i might have a stupid question now .. it's ok to laugh
The plastic thing at the bottom of the probe, should i remove this ???????

Can you show a pic? It might be a cap that needs to be removed, or the bulb itself, which you should not mess with.

Or just make fresh salt water and test pH. Which brand you are using?

Yea i hope no one noticed ... i tried to edit it out..
I have been having the protective plastic on, the entire time ........
it was correctly calibrated from the beginning ..
5 min after i calibrated the prope and the pH is now 7.95 and raising
After removing the plastic cap..


I have a Salifert pH test set.

All good because ultimately you received a resolution to your issue. I am sure you are not the first 1

That still does not explain your salifert reading!

Thanks to everyone helping me in the thread

It's much appreciated, I personally learned a lot about pH, and about stuff that can help raise the pH, in case i have an actual problem at some point ..

When i do a Salifert pH test, it gives me the same result..

It seems the pH mysterie has been solved

FWIW, the salifert would not be able to measure below pH 7.4.

Since it is around 8ish you should see some light green hue with the kit. Assuming you are comparing colors using approx. daylight.
