I put Kalkwasser in my ATO resevoir tank to keep my pH balanced. It works like a charm.

Careful!!!!!

I did this with my low uptake tank full of LPS and mainly zoas/palys..... your Alk will spike to 16 before you know it.

If you put Kalk in your topoff, you better be testing Alk 2x a week.

Better have a handle of what your tank is uptaking weekly

Increasing your dt light brightness will also increase ph since more co2 is converted to o2 via photosynthesis if you increase that activity.
Careful of light sensitive species.

Recirculating co2 scrubber. 1lbs of media lasts 5-6 months. 8.2 low at night, left unchecked would peak at 8.5 PH but I cut my skimmer off at 8.4.

Running a higher PH gets you 25-100% faster coral growth. You can ***** about $1/day (which is way more expensive than reality for recirculating scrubbers), but the coral growth gains are 100% worth it.
