I have a flat/plywood bottom stand. My issue is my hardwood floor isn’t very plane and is lumpy. I’d also much rather lift it up some in case water gets underneath. I’ve also already caulked the seams of the stand as an extra measure.

I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions to raise the tank into feet? I’ve debated building a platform or even putting it on 2x4’s as “rails” but I’m not sure what might be best. I’m thinking leveling feet but any that support the weight I’m looking at require ~3 inches of wood to drill into. The tank is a 75 and the sump is a 40. The stand itself is mostly 3/4” plywood, except the bottom which is 1/4” plywood.

I assume that your sump is inside the stand? If so, you'll need to increase the strength of the bottom - 1/4" plywood will quickly sag and fail on you.

I absolutely agree with this. 3/4" plywood underneath the 1/4" will work. Then you can put the "legs" supporting the plywood. Also make sure that the legs are directly underneath or as close as possible to four corners supporting your aquarium. I put my stand on casters with levelers you can buy from Amazon. Makes it super convenient. Can't move the tank with water in it but if you removed 75% of the water, you can relocate the stand and aquarium and then put the water back. Also easy to clean the floor if there is an accidental leak.

I use these from amazon:

if you look closely at the first picture, you can see the casters underneath.

I also have my tank on wood floors.

What size sump do you have? That’s awesome and definitely what I think I’ll do.

My sump is a thirty plus gallon but notice that there is a cut-out for the sump in the stand. The sump sits on 1/2” of plywood and foam and the plywood is supported by 4 smaller casters. U can also choose to go this route and not have the sump directly on the stand.
