Raising alk dosing for colony addition. How much?

Im adding this staghorn colony to my 80 gallon mixed reef system currently I dose 12 ml of alk and calc per day but they are both already low: alk 7.5 dkh, calc 370 ppm. How much do you think I should increase my dosing by based on the size of the colony? I know staghorns suck up a ton. This apparently grew from a frag withib

That looks like an elkhorn montipora and it grows like a weed. I removed mine.
I ran alk at 7-7.5 so no need to adjust.
Bring up ca to 420 and your good to go imo.

It won't really increase your demand right off the bat. It will take time to settle in before it starts growing in your tank. Dosing needs to be based off of use which can be found with regular testing. I would bump up your calcium though.

If its an stag still just raise ca to 420ish and your good.
Here is a stag of mine that runs at dkh of 7.5.
9 months growth.

I agree there's no need to adjust in advance. Just alter dosing when alk drops below your target level.
