Raising calcium with BRS Calcium Chloride

I read through the instructions and it says to only raise calcium by 50ppm per day to be safe for corals. Is this accurate? I need to initially raise mine by 30ppm. Will this be safe?

Also, it says this "Tip: If you are having issues raising your calcium, check to ensure your aquarium magnesium level is between 1200-1350ppm and that the solution is added to a high flow area of the tank." My magnesium is 1520ppm. So will this even work?

Yes, 30 ppm in one shot is safe. The instructions mean no more than 50ppm per day.

Higher than 1350 Mg is fine. If Mg is low, you can have trouble keeping alk and Ca in line.

Concerns about how much you can boost calcium and magnesium in one day are, IMO, driven by concern about impurities in the products causing toxicity, not from the calcium or magnesium themselves, coupled with the fact that it is rarely, if ever, needed to raise those rapidly.
