Would this be a good way to raise my KH? It is currently at 6.5.

It would work... but I personally dont like when alk AND calcium is together in the same bottle. You would be far better using a product like redsea reef foundation or esv b-ionic, so you can target your levels. Good luck

FWIW, the Seachem Reef Fusion product is a two part. He's just showing the picture of the alk part.

That said, Seachem did not design it properly for 1:1 dosing and I'd pick a different brand if you have a choice (hard to understand how they messed this up since recipes are public knowledge).

Hi! Would you mind giving some different brand recommendations for ALK dosing? I'm a newbie reefer so would love to hear the better products available/recommended. I tried the Seachem Reef Builder powder but that didn't work out as well for me. Probably user error

Thanks in advance

My Ca is always good (I use Hanna checker) Nothing needed there, but my tank constantly eats up Alk so I'm just trying to maintain desirable Alk levels that's why I've been dosing Reef Fusion 2 for the Alk stability.

Save your money. Use baking SODA or baked baking soda dissolved in water. Both will raise alk, but have different effects on pH. Google Randy’s two part solution and then look for a reef dosing calculator (I use reef.diesyst.com/chemcalc/chemcalc.html ). Enter your tank info and then you can even select Randy’s formula for alk to tell you how much to dose. Dose slowly, and I wouldn’t increase more than 1dkh per day.

My method is typically 1 tbsp regular baking soda in about a gallon of ro water. Then I stick the tube for my ATO in there and let it use it over several hours.

Thank you. The calculator will be really helpful!
