I was wondering if it is worth the trouble to raise Brine shrimp
OR--Just buy the dry ones--Any benefits ?

Not unless you have a very large tank, a breeding operation or friends that will buy from you. You will end up with a lot of wasted food. It's a fun learning experience but so much goes to waste. I did brine and phyto for about 6 months and I poured 75% down the drain. The wife was tired of green bottles in the fridge and a mac scientist lab in the garage as well. Your better off buying it.

Unless you are trying to get newly imported, picky eaters to eat something, there are much better foods than brine shrimp. Brine has little or no nutritional value, just empty calories. Feeding something like minced scallops and PE mysis is a lot better any day of the week than any type of brine shrimp.
