raising low salinity water

I just noticed that my salinity has dropped a lot (my ato was back siphoning from tank to rodi tank. it's down to 1.20 salinity, how should I raise this? Is this a major concern for the corals that are in the tank where I need to at least raisse the salinity quickly to a min amount?

Until you start with inverts and corals and you run only fish, 1.025-1.026 is not required.
fish only tanks can run at 1.019-1.023, the lower salinity.

Always keep in mind that increases in salinity must be done very slowly, like .002 or less per day.
Decreases can be done easily in half a day.

In almost all cases, the best way to raise salinity is to go slow and just replace evaporated water with normal salinity salt water until you hit your target.

I had similar problem. For months I thought I was reading 1.025 on my refractometer. Corals kept dying and I kept buying. Then I decided to buy the Hanna digital tester. Calibrated then tested my water. Reading was 1.020. No wonder my corals kept melting and dying. Anyway, I'm increasing it slowly and we'll see if I'll have success with corals now.

i didn't raise it slowly, but mine were only in low salinity for a few hrs. i raised it from 1.02 to 1.024 quickly and then let it go the rest of the way slowly.
