I know when it comes to alk, you need to go slow, when it comes to calcium, you can raise it quickly without issues... but what about magnesium? How quickly can I raise levels to get back in range?

From what I understand you can raise it quickly as well. With brs 2 part you're suppose to add it once you finish up your alk and calcium and you can add it all at once.

I've read 100ppm/day is recommended max. I've done 150ppm raise in a day without any issue at all, but don't know at what point an issue might arise. Mag supplements often raise salinity as well, so if doing a large dose, double check salinity as well.

What' the gap you need to close? Is your live stock experiencing issues with the low Mg? Answers to those two questions Will give you lot of room to raise your Mg levels.

Mag is currently at 949

I haven't kept corals in a while so wasn't really watching much besides salinity and pH. Now I'm trying to get back in the coral game, so gotta bring the mag back up.

I would do 50/day. This get you back on track within a week. Good luck.
