Raising PH in reef tank

Hey everyone,

Hoping someone has some advice for me, I need to raise my PH as it is sitting somewhere along 7.8 when it is supposed to be at its highest.

Nuvo 20:
10.89 dKH (higher then where I usually keep it)
427 calcium (dosing Red Sea to raise it)
1264 Magnesium (dosing Red Sea to raise it also)
Nitrates around 5ppm
Phosphates around 0.05ppm

I hooked and CO2 scrubber and Media to my protein skimmer and the media hasn’t even change Color one bit after a week. (Tried different media to ensure they haven’t just gone bad. I’ve tried two little fishes CDX and now Skim Breeze by fauna Marin)

I’m dealing with some Dinos and I’m trying to keep my PH up to help get rid of them.

Apex PH probe and double checked with my Red Sea test kit. Also had a test sent out and there’s wasn’t much difference bet my result and the result of the test. About 0.05 difference.

Try more surface agitation and more room ventilation.

I'm old school, but dose kalk.
pH still not high enough? Dose kalk+vinegar.
Still not enough for ya? Dose kalk slurry.

Done.

I switched to kalk and run PH 8.4-8.8 now.

Measured with apex probe and calibrated quarterly then checked against probes on other systems for peace of mind.

I'm new to the sport and my PH wont seem to go up. when you are talking about kalk is that Kalkwasser? I am doing the RedSea additive program. Would I add this along with the alkaline I am already adding? Your tank is amazing. Thanks for your advice! Randy
