raising Ph solution?

So i bought BRS CO2 absorbant media and have been running it through the top of my Nyos 120 skimmer where the fine tuning adjustment is.In that the skimmer is mainly controlled by the main adjustment and the secondary open/close adjustment ,would it be better to run the air from the media reactor directly to the venturi?and maybe install a needle valve in the middle to adjust airflow?
