Raising PH with Calcium Hydroxide (Kalkwasser)

I want to raise PH.

I currently dose Calcium and Alkalinity with a two part product by ESV.

Calcium Hydroxide (Kalkwasser) raises PH but it also raises Calcium and Alkalinity based on the product description by BRS and others.

So how I do just raise PH and continue using my two part doses?

You can use this calculator to see how much calcium and alkalinity is provided by how much limewater (kalkwasser) and then maybe back off of the two part dosing by the same total amount (at least as a starting point, demand may rise as the pH rises).

I can't see a reason to pick that product. There is no chemical that raises pH in seawater that is not an alkalinity additive. The only real choices are carbonate and hydroxide (and phosphate, but that's not a good choice).

Surely this is an old post, but this helped me with my own pH problems just now.
