I couldn't figure the best spot for this thread, so I'll start here. Mods please move if need be.
Let me first say to the sellers I have listed in this post, I post these questions with the utmost respect! I do not intend for this to be disrespectful or malicious in any way.
Many of us aspire to grow our own corals, many of us do not. Those of us that choose to buy see a lot of good quality stuff, and of course some very high priced ones too. I don't want to start a debate about the coral values themselves, yet ask the question......What does Jason Fox or Cornbread actually do to get the corals to fetch such a high dollar amount?
1. Is their prop system actually that much more advanced than the above average reefer?
2. Are they using some top secret nutrient formula?
3. Is it their lighting?
4. Marketing maybe?
I know that growing corals isn't easy otherwise everyone would be doing it. However, no matter what I see from these two sellers it doesn't warrant me to want to buy any of those, yet I feel like I want to challenge myself to grow out my own high quality pieces for my own enjoyment.
What do you think?
