Just thinking out loud... I find it interesting that we make such an effort to make the ideal home for our fish with features such as a ramp-up timer on lights and what not, but we have never considered such items for ourselves...

It makes me wonder if humans would benefit from a natural fade in, to peak, and fade out lighting system - as well as other practices.

I personally vote to QT all humans for 8x weeks & run the earth fallow for 76 days xD

What about you?

I have seen articles talking about studies which were related to the impact of lights on humans. The articles mentioned that some of the new LED street lights and smartphone screens have shown to have a negative impact on the sleep cycle of humans due to the wavelengths of light they are emitting during periods of darkness when the body should be resting. I believe they were concluding that being exposed to certain wavelengths of light during rest periods could trigger the body to wake up instead of resting which could result in difficulties with sleep. It is an interesting idea but I think it is more likely we would adapt rather than change our current habits.
