Hey all.
I just received my shipment of two randall gobies and a shrimp from liveaquaria (over a day late. Fedex sucks) and am acclimating them now but one of them is swimming around upside down! I don’t know what is wrong can anyone tell me? The smaller one and shrimp are totally fine

Not a good sign. Pic isn’t the best but his belly looks pinched. Matched up temp and salinity for acclimation?

Yup. I am acclimatting him to my tank water right now. They had been temp acclimmating for a long time because fedex delivered them while I was at work. Thankfully my brother floated their bags for me

He would do better in an acclimatization box in the DT, as the waters there are more stable.

I plastic bag clipped to the side of the DT would work.

We need to keep his “environment” stable, it may be hours.

My acclimation box is currently being used by my orchid dottyback who I am selling tomorrow lol. I’ll get a bag I guess

I put the two randalls together in the acclimation box and moved my dottyback to a plastic bag with holes poked in. She is out of here tomorrow anyways. The lights are off but from what I can see the goby is resting right side up already so I hope it helped him calm down. I’m going to leave them in the box over night and check in early tomorrow and if he seems ok I’ll let him out before lights come on. I’ll keep everyone posted.

The Randall seems to have recovered from his shock :D
He was right side up and wasn't spinning around when I took him and his pal out of the acclimation box this morninng. Looks like he will make it! Thanks everyone
