randalls goby not eating

Hey guys, a couple days ago i picked up a small randalls goby. He has found a little cave for himself but is not eating the mysis i feed. Any tips? Need help badly, new to gobys

Also there is no pistol shrimp paired with him

Do you have pics? Could be disease related.
May also be stress, new fish tend to go on hunger strikes, especially wild ones.

Days will pass without me seeing my Randall's eat anything. I've had him for 2 years now and he's still doing fine. I've learned not to worry about him.

Maybe feed some small sinking pellets too. They'll pick them off the bottom.

I do not have pics, he is currently deep in a cave

I would guess he is stressed. A shrimp is not necessary, though it is fun to watch.
He is likely snacking on the pods in your tank (if they are there).
