Have anyone else is using this product?
Just got mine and I love it!

never seen it, simple and effective looking, I've got a loc link 3/4" set up, do you think I can attach it?
 
Interesting concept. I'd be curious to see how well this holds up to dirt and biofilm accumulation. I'm no fluid dynamics expert, but I'd imagine the mechanism that forces water through a random channel would be very susceptible to clogging and dirt buildup.

It seems very easy to clean
Only time will tell
 
Looks to be the same concept as a penductor or enductor

To get the best out of it u would want to use a high pressure type pump like a little giant

Thats what it looks like to me too, the only difference being the internal helical windings. Would love to see a video/animation of how the inside works.
 
I got one for my reefer 170, but it seems a fail.

You have to point it down slightly to avoid a vortex into the output nozzle. However at that depth, if the power goes out, there is not enough room in the sump to hold all the water!!

I tested with an empty sump before I added my skimmer.

I keep meaning to email them, I'm guessing the other reefers have a better sump to surface area ratio?
 
I have a pair of them on my 525xL reefer and I like the variation in flow. I agree that they have to be lowered a bit to prevent air from being sucked in, but I havent had any issue with the sump flooding. The internals of the nozzles dont move or anything, they just basically twist the water stream as it comes out of the nozzle. Mostly I see shifts in the water flow at the top of the waterline. Im pushing ~1300 gph though the split locline.

Could you drill a tiny hole in the butt end of the RFG to break siphon at a higher water level thereby avoiding so much water back-siphoning into the sump of my RSR 250? I would use two RFGs on a TSA split return.

I love mine on my REEFER Nano. It's the sole source of flow and it moves my LPS like a pulsing Tunze. Vortices can easily be defeated by adjusting the infinitely adjustable nozzle. The ball socket on the REEFER is multi-directional. The RFG adapter can be rotated left and right, and the RFG nozzle is on a ball socket. It takes a bit of adjusting, don't give up on it. Rotating the adapter to the right to get the assembly closer to the surface and adjusting the nozzle to the left aimed slightly towards the surface is my sweet spot. Mine is right near the surface without a vortex in sight. Plenty of room in the sump too when the power is off, nowhere near a flood.

Unless you have an oversized return pump, manifolds, and all kinds of equipment draining when the power goes out, I'm not sure what the problem is.

I think it's a nice evolution of the standard educator. Also nice that the larger model slip fits over standard 1" PVC pipe (not a fan of locline). I'm using a pair on my closed loop so no worries about back siphon.
 
Our fish are getting smarter by the minute with all these educators around. Auto-correct (waves fist) :D
