I noticed my frogspawn closed up for about 4 days. Then it started to lose tentacles. It’s probably a lost cause but I dipped it and noticed a giant whole in the skeleton. Does anyone know what would cause this?

The hole looks pretty old but once the p[olyp tissue has receded from a section og the skeleton endoliths willstart dissolving the skeleton. Euphilia skeletons are quite porous so that spot may have been thinner than other places for whatever reason or it might have been damgaed at some point making it easier to deteriorate.
