I am baking soda bicarbonate per your part #1 instructions, but I dont notice the baking soda degassing in the oven, recommendation?
 
You can't see the degassing. The baking soda, if anything, seems more powdery once it cools down. Other than that it's not a very exciting process to look at.
Oh, ok. I thought I read somewhere where you could see the c02 funneling up through the baking soda. I baked it for a hour, then I reset for additional two hours.
 
You can also weigh it before and after. There’s a significant difference between bicarbonate and carbonate
