i read some where your dosing 100+ml of vinegar a day.
just out of curiosity whats your nitrates levels and bio load
to have to dose that amount

im dosing 25 ml a day vodka and my nitrates is about 15 should i increase dosage

Vodka is 8 times more concentrated than is vinegar. How long have you been dosing that amount and to what size tank?

I don't track nutrients.

d0sing for about 3 weeks
tank is 180 with 100lbs of rock and a 30 gallon sump
dose about 25ml a day

That's quite a bit fairly rapidly. How does the tank appear relative to before you started?

Your daily maintenanc dose is going to be roughly around 18-20mls a day. so if you've jsu gotten started, and your trying to get your Nitrates to fall, you will be in the 30-40ish range when they start to fall.

How, and when did you deploy the BP's? They will take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks to fully colonize/mature. I would recommend you either stay with the pellets or use a liquid source, i.e. vodka, vinegar, etc. I know of a couple circumstances where someone tried to use both at the same time, and the pellets formed a mulm, stuck together, blocked the reactor and formed hydogen sulfide.
