RAP Anaheim 2019

Hi reef2reef!
I was just wondering who’s going to RAP in Anaheim this year and also what are you looking for?
I will be attending and I’m looking for 2-3 high end acros. I was hoping TSA would have a booth but they don’t. Let’s see what Jason fox has to bring.

Jason always brings nice stuff but it goes quick. He had a booth here in Houston and I bought his only Sunday driver and pimped out tenuis while he was setting up the night before.

Here in SD, his prices were reasonable to my surprise, but his stuff lasted quite a while

Law office aquariums will be there too. They had some really nice pieces last year but charging way too much.

Im on the same boat.... first timer but not sure when is the best time to go the first day or the last day... who are your go to vendor for mid to top shelf sps?

I’ll be going. Ppl with good acros will be Garrett’s acropolis, wwc, law office, unique, and probably local guys/stores.

Are the prices of corals lower in rap than store prices? Let say wwc is it cheaper than there online prices?

Some yes. Hard to find/highly desired pieces will get top dollar.

You want to be the first person in there. Disguise yourself like the people who work there or like the vendors if you have to. Any possible way to get in before it opens, you take it. Spend the night in a 150gal SW container if you have to.

That’s how you get the best pick of acros...

They sell vip /early entry passes.

There’s going to be a lot of vendors there selling some mediocre frags for really cheap and also some decent ones for pretty cheap too. You can fill up your tank for not that much money.
My tank is pretty much filled with different colored no name acros. All I need now are a few really nice pieces. Maybe 2-3 high end acros and a few really nice chalices.

For my experience if u are looking for nice color or high end piece then go early Saturday. If u looking for bargain and don't care how it look then Sunday. Saturday have better raffle I think. Drygood definitely Sunday since the vendor don't want to carry the stuff back. There plenty of nice acros but if u looking for nice nem or mushroom then definitely Saturday those go fast. Lps will go fast this year since the Indo shutdown there are not a lot to purchase.

Not going to make it this year. I have been to RAP for the last 3+ years and I think the nicer stuff goes Saturday and the deals can be found late Sunday. The raffles and guest speakers are always nice.
