Is Coopperband butterfly is a reef safe fish ? I'm thinking putting one in mine , he's such a beauty

Not really. A copperband (as with most other butterflyfish) may eat coral polyps. Some are serious corallivores (in other words, they devour coral as their staple diet.) It's a risk.
